04 My Country 01 Falling Asunder 02 Standing Together ****************************************************************************************************
Cry my country with the tears of prayer When the world looks upon us in contempt Despite of all our noble attempts To hold the land from falling asunder Perhaps our hearts could at least bless the day For we are still one although divided Silently wishing to be united Whatever some may treacherously say We could cry to ourselves and to our God With honest tears that sanctifies the land And revive its spirit to once more rise We could join together and face the odds Soneta 011 In a new brotherhood to make a stand Sonetaria Or else, let the nation despair and die AD 2002
Cry my country for our poor soldiers When many are cursing their lonely call And even scheming to make them small With a treatment blatantly improper It could not be right to wish for their fall Defenders of the nation and its flag Who have sacrificed despite of their lack Not counting the cost, giving all for all No one should desire to see them in rags Despised, rejected and forgotten My Country! A cause of shame to their sons and daughters Soneta 021 Let every heart speak now and humbly beg: Sonetaria ‘We, as a nation, would share this moment, AD 2002 Whatever their faults we too are sinners’
