01 Human Awareness

On that happy morn of the human race

A creature so insignificant smiled

Observing deeply his own unique style

Knowingly thinking of his favoured case

Among living things in which he was placed

By him alone would knowledge be applied

And only he could speak and laugh and cry

Even at moments behave with some grace

Clear sense of awareness dawned in his mind

Sense of himself and his surrounding world

By questions and answers thus he could find               The First Man

Patterns of meaning for him to unfold                                Soneta 034

Thinking mentally caused him to exist                                Petrarca

And for the cosmos he would now enlist                            AD 2002

02 Human Sadness

Believing in life and its whole beauty

A chosen image he set out to mould

By which inner youth would never grow old

As in the times of pristine purity

Fragile, and yet this personality

Would always endure and remain quite bold

By a wisdom through which one may uphold

The dreams and hopes of all humanity

For paradise long gone and disappeared

In human hearts would remain eternal

The First Man                   There in ancient time human fate was sealed

AD 2002                                  Mankind would someday behold the divine

03 Human Wholeness

Through many ages of evolution

Mankind has journeyed far and adapted

Its life on earth and by this exalted

As master of its own dominion

Like a plant growing by occulation

Unto the One Life mankind was grafted

Dependent, and on its breath subsisted

Almost as a child needing affection

Then man discovered his identity

In the very depths of his inner soul

Being now a child of the Almighty                                    The First Man

Of all creation unique was his role                                     Soneta 036

For in him there was a seed of greatness                         Petrarca

A heavenly light that dispelled darkness                            AD 2002
