19 Resolution
****************************************************************************************************
01 A Question ‘Do you have a heart?’ someone said to me, Referring clearly to my faulty act, Thereby trapping me, who could not now flee, From the questioning, and its veiled attack. My line of defence, and personal tact, Did fail to evade, the inquisition. Sounding so hollow, I could not detract, That angry judgment, and its assumption As it grew tired of my inaction, The words that followed became more flowing, Trying to focus my whole attention, Resolution Upon an issue, all found appaling. Soneta 055 Meanwhile my poor self, in some tight corner, Spenseria Could not speak or think anyway clearer. AD 2003
02 A Promise My silence remained, through much of the day, No words could express my confused feelings And none should I give to explain away, The pain I have caused, that was so hurting. Whatever happened of my own doing, That made anyone truly unhappy, Would always remain to go on haunting, The dim labyrinths of my memory. What else would now be, but sense of duty, To bear and honour, to take and uphold, A Resolution The tasks of manhood, with humility, Soneta 056 That life may blossom for all to behold. Spenseria This would henceforth be my resolution, AD 2003 To stand strong and firm in all my actions.
