The cool mountain air refreshed my body
Awakening me from deep sleepiness
And rekindling some childhood memories
As its icy breeze caressed me gently
Slowly I woke up to greet the new day
Sensing all the while the comforting warmth
As my drowsy mind in its backward path
Beheld past events which were now replayed
The past lurched forward to join the present
To enhance the youth in my adult self
For I am younger than the mountain elf Poetic Muse
Or the inner muse whose voice was pleasant Soneta 061
I have come in search of some youthful dream Petrarca
And found the first line of my sonnet scheme AD 2003
02 An Assurance
Ever so gentle, soft in demeanour
Daughter of moonlight, angelic being
Giver of pleasure, and happy feeling
Sweet Muse of verses, a precious favour
In my younger age, she came in the night
Saying through her touch, as if to assure
So I would not doubt, and embrace the pure
When arranging thoughts, in poetic flight
Hearing the sweet voice, in my very soul
I thanked the good Lord, for this gracious friend
Poetic Muse And kissed tenderly, my old writing pen
